In the day where digital cameras abound, there is absolutely no excuse for taking bad pictures. Of course, photography is a skill that needs to be developed, and it gets better with practice. Here are a couple of tips you can use to take better pictures with your camera.
If there is one filter you absolutely must have, it is the polarizing filter. The polarizing filter reduces the reflection from metal, water, and glass and improves the colors of the foliage and sky. The polarized filter helps protect your camera lens, so it is a good idea to leave the lens on your camera while shooting pictures during the day.
If you are taking pictures of the landscape, you must create a sense of depth to make the viewer feel that they are there. Use a wide-angle lens with a small aperture to keep the foreground and background sharp. Place an object in the foreground, and the image will give a sense of depth and scale. You will need to use a tripod because using a small aperture require a slower shutter speed.
Use Simple Backgrounds
The key to getting good pictures is to use simple backgrounds. When taking digital pictures, you must decide what you want in the shot, when you have decided that, eliminate all other distractions. Using a simple background helps the viewer focus on the subject rather on the background.
